Spokane Youth Sinfonietta conductor, Ms. Heather Montgomery, grew up on the west side of the state. Montgomery received her Bachelor’s Degree in Music Education from WSU. Before moving to Spokane she taught middle school choir, orchestra and guitar in Port Angeles, WA.  While in Port Angeles she performed as a member of the Peninsula Chamber Singers, the Port Angeles String Quartet, and was principal violist in the Port Angeles Symphony Orchestra.  Montgomery also co-directed two of the North Olympic Youth Symphonies. She teaches strings for Spokane District #81 and is the Director of Orchestras at Sacajawea Middle School. Ms. Montgomery plays viola in the Coeur d’alene Symphony and performs on the violin and sings in Folkinception.
