Each member of our orchestras must be enrolled in order to participate in rehearsals and concerts.
If a student is a returning member of SYS or has auditioned successfully for placement in one of the SYS orchestras, he/she may be enrolled. Enrollment is due by August 15th.
(Students new to SYS who have not yet auditioned should be enrolled following a successful audition in September and prior to the first rehearsal on September 13th.)
SYS Enrollment Process - Checklist
Step 1: Read SYS 2021-2022 Handbook and 2021-2022 Media Consent and Release.
Step 2: Parent/Guardian is to SUBMIT this ONLINE FORM: 2021-2022 Enrollment and Payment Agreement, acknowledging agreement to terms of the SYS 2021-2022 Handbook and 2021-2022 Media Consent and Release.
Step 3: Download, Complete, Return Liability Release Form (scan and email to info@spokaneyouthsymphony.org or send by USPS to SYS, P.O. Box 9547, Spokane, WA 99209). The Liability Release MUST be completed and turned in to SYS BEFORE a student is allowed to participate in rehearsals and concerts.
Step 4: To complete the enrollment process, submit payment for Tuition, either ONLINE with credit card or mail a check to SYS, P.O. Box 9547, Spokane, WA 99209. You can chose to pay the Full Tuition or the Entrance Fee and Monthly Payments, September-April. A 3% convenience fee is charged for online payments.
Payment is required to enroll.

REQUIRED: Choose the Parent Volunteer activities (volunteer opportunities will be posted by September 1) that you would like to volunteer for by going to Parent Volunteers and click on the "Choose a spot on SignUp.com" icon. Volunteer opportunities will continue to be available throughout the year. Parents are required to sign up through our SignUp.com system and volunteer for a minimum of nine (9) hours per family, September-May. (Include $100 opt-out payment when enrolling if choosing not to volunteer.) Please note: Families who do NOT fulfill the volunteer requirement by May of 2022 will be charged $125.
