Intermediate String Orchestra: Conductor

Heather Montgomery grew up on the west side of the state. She received her Bachelor’s Degree in Music Education from WSU. Before moving to Spokane she taught middle school choir, orchestra and guitar in Port Angeles, WA.  While in Port Angeles she performed as a member of the Peninsula Chamber Singers, the Port Angeles String Quartet, and was principal violist in the Port Angeles Symphony Orchestra.  Heather also co-directed two of the North Olympic Youth Symphonies. Heather is in her third year working for Spokane Public Schools, where her duties include teaching elementary string classes, 2nd-6th grade developmental music, and choir.
