Junior Orchestra: Conductor

Carol Pederson received her Bachelors and Masters degree from Western Washington University. Emphasis was placed on Baroque Music and Harpsichord Performance. After completing her degrees, she studied piano with Nikola Raskov at the University of Belgrade in Yugoslavia. For the past 13 years, Ms. Pederson has taught string orchestra for District 81.  She has taught at several elementary schools, Chase Middle school, and is currently the director of orchestras at Ferris High School.  As accompanist, Ms. Pederson has served as the Music Director and pianist for several musicals at the Performing Arts Center on Orcas Island.  She was also accompanist for the Spokane Area Children's Choir from 1998-2002.
